Tamro AB is the principal sponsor behind the Computer Centre pilot project at Queen Silvia's Hospital for Children in Gothenburg. In one of this specialist hospital's surgical wards, children can now "chat" freely with their friends, school and other outside contacts via laptops connected to the internet. The computer centre makes life easier for the children and brings friends and school closer to those admitted to the hospital as in-patients and are maybe confined to bed. Family members visiting the children are also able to use this much-requested communication facility.

"The project has a natural link with Tamro's activities when it comes to communication and IT competence. It fits in well with the values we aspire to in our company. Being able to help improve the quality of these children's lives and their well-being gives us a lot of satisfaction," says Tamro's MD Hans Wahlén.
