Puzzles things out and makes quick decisions - puzzles things out and makes quick decisions

In my thirty years at Tamro, I have held a number of different positions. But, I have always had a finger in transports. For a number of years, I have been responsible for transports of pharmaceuticals and other products to pharmacies throughout Sweden. In order to keep goods supply flowing, trucks with hand-packed crates run 24-hours per day every day from our three distribution centres via over twenty loading terminals to all pharmacies throughout the country. It is a great responsibility - both to our customers and to those who need the pharmaceuticals - to make sure that the flow works so that the right goods are in the right place at the right time.

Our job is to offer our customers transports that are as cost efficient and safe as possible. My job also entails making sure the vehicles are always full - but you can't transport just anything together with pharmaceuticals. It's a bit like putting together a puzzle.

What I like best about this job is that I run most things myself and I have to act quickly. New things arise constantly and one must be able to make quick decisions. And I'm good at that! This job also enables me to travel often. This could be anything from inspecting a reloading terminal in Östersund to visiting Apoteket AB's headquarters in Stockholm. I think that's a lot of fun.

I think I like this job so much because I'm a structured person and enjoy having many irons in the fire. I have to do this at home as well because I live on a farm with dogs, cats, horses and woods. I am also chairman of an athletics association. During EM 2006, I will serve as a judge for the triple jump and the long jump. This is lots of fun - and takes up a lot of time! So, I really have to structure my life - both on the job and off.
