Works at Tamro's distribution warehouse - keeping a busy and watchful eye on stores.

I started to work at Tamro's distribution warehouse in Gothenburg in 2003, one week after I passed my school exams.

And I enjoy my job very much! The best thing of all is that all my colleagues are really nice and positive. Since I rotate between three different tasks, I learn a lot and it never gets boring. I work in the "chiller area" picking cold-stored goods, I drive a truck and I work on the "conveyor belt" picking goods in the blue trays. We pick goods according to order sheets from different stations and pack them in trays ready for despatch to the pharmacies. There's a lot to think about, everything has to be right. You need to be very careful and fast!

The routines are well-ingrained. Sometimes when I'm at a pharmacy I see a product which I packed and think "Ahh, station 26!". It's fun.

Since I do so many different things, I get an overview of things, I can see the complete picture and I know that what I do is important. It also means that I can understand better what others do and why we have to do things in a certain way. It's a big responsibility handling pharmaceuticals. Driving the trucks is absolutely what I like most! When I was offered to try for a truck licence, I was all for it since I think it's fun learning new things. And I've not regretted it!

It's good that there are so many opportunities to develop at Tamro. For example, I could imagine having a go on switchboard or at central warehouse. But right now I'm very happy with my job.

In my spare time I meet up with my friends. I potter about tidying my flat in Majorna. Sometimes I try to be good and work out, but it's hard to find the time when there are so many other interesting things to do.
