A responsibility we take very seriously.
As a pharmaceutical distributor, we bear a significant sustainability responsibility on our shoulders. Therefore, we place great emphasis on working together with suppliers, partners, and customers who promote climate-smart initiatives and share our ambition to contribute to a more environmentally friendly future – with the means we have. We measure the fuel consumption of our trucks and use renewable fuel as often as possible. We have also developed an action plan to ensure CO2 neutrality within Scope 1 and Scope 2 by 2030, similar to other Phoenix companies. To accelerate the work with Scope 3, we have begun our journey towards getting more biogas and electric trucks on the roads in Sweden. As a pharmaceutical distributor, we naturally focus on distribution, but it is also important that we reduce our waste in other ways. By implementing effective recycling programmes and improving our packaging solutions, we take an important step towards reducing our environmental footprint.

Fuel
We measure our vehicles' consumption and CO2 emissions. We are gradually transitioning to renewable fuels for our transports.
ENERGY
We purchase green electricity for all our facilities across Sweden. Our district heating is 91% fossil-free.
WASTE
90% of our own waste goes to recycling or incineration for energy recovery.
TRANSPORT
Our first choice for business travel is by train. Our transports are carried out by truck instead of by air. Our company cars are electric or plug-in hybrids.

Sustainable relationships.
We work closely with our suppliers to ensure that the entire logistics chain is as environmentally and socially sustainable as possible. All our suppliers sign Tamro's code of conduct, thereby promising that they share our values. Outside of our core business, we also work to give children and young people a brighter future through various social projects that we support.
Economic initiatives.
As a societal actor, Tamro has the opportunity to influence and contribute resources to innovation projects and initiatives that have a positive impact on our planet. It is rarely a one-person job, and our commitment ranges from welfare technology aids to innovation initiatives in medical waste, where collaboration with companies and authorities is central.
