MAHMOUD SHAKERI

"Contributing to a safe workplace makes me proud."

Team leader Mahmoud Shakeri has been part of Tamro's distribution centre in Stockholm since 2019, always focusing on the technology and machines that drive the operation. In the autumn of 2024, he took a new step and was promoted to team leader for the technology team, a role where he now has the opportunity to develop his skills as a leader.

From technician to team leader

My first job as a technician at the Stockholm facility was an opportunity for me to use my interest in technology in my profession for the first time. In 2022, I then became an automation technician, and even more maintenance responsibility became my daily routine. In the autumn of 2024, the next step came; a role as a team leader, where the combination of leading a team and developing my own knowledge is now my main focus.

"The best part of working here is that I get to use what I already know and constantly learn new things."

Variety improves job satisfaction

In my job as a team leader, my days are always different. An important part is coordinating with my colleagues so that we can quickly and efficiently solve any problems that arise. Every morning, we start with a planning meeting to go through the day, which can include everything from recurring maintenance to urgent machine stops that need to be resolved. I also have meetings with the entire production team, which gives us a holistic view that can help us identify other problems and defects that need to be addressed.

Contributing to smoother machinery

I believe that our core values are a natural part of the work culture, and in the technician team, they are evident daily through the work of keeping the machines running and minimising downtime. We always try to work closely with other departments to carry out our work as efficiently and smoothly as possible. It is precisely this combination that makes Tamro feel like a safe and stable place for everyone.
